Ignition programmes for high-pressure sodium lamps:
- 8 ignition sequences of 300 pulses each.
- If switching on is unsuccessful, each ignition sequence is repeated after a 36-second cooling phase of the lamp.
- This cyclical, intelligent programming guarantees safe ignition of the lamp before the timing set to 5 minutes is completed.
- When the lamp is successfully switched on, the further ignition sequences are stopped.
Ignition programmes for metal halide lamps:
- 8 ignition programmes of 1300 pulses each.
- If the lamp is switched on unsuccessfully, each ignition sequence is repeated after a 182-second cooling phase of the lamp.
- This cyclical, intelligent programming guarantees ignition of the lamp before completion of the timing set to 25 minutes.
- When the lamp is successfully switched on, the further ignition sequences are stopped.
The UAL units include a ballast with thermal protection and an electronic circuit. They integrate an ignitor and a capacitor in the basic versions, according to the operational characteristics of the particular lamps for which they have been designed, complementing at the same time those models that include a timer ignitor in the circuit.
This ballast is suitable for HPS and MH lamps, such as SON-T for flowering or HPI-T Plus for mother plants, cuttings, etc., in addition all other 400 Watt sodium lamps run with this ballast. The ballast has not only been CE tested, but also carries the ENEC industry standard.
This is a new and improved version of the well-known unit. The stable luster terminals are now placed on the top side. This has made it possible to connect several ballast transformers. In addition, the capacitor with the starter is located in a fireproof housing filled with resin. The heat dissipation has also been improved.
For the connection we recommend our two-part cable set. If you do it yourself, be sure to use so-called cable lugs or cable end sleeves. The correct cable must be three-core with a diameter of at least 1.5 mm².
Cable end sleeves are used to protect the stripped ends of stranded wires so that they can be connected in terminals without damaging the individual wires.
